Dr. Amina Johnson joined our Roncy Village team in January 2021. She grew up in Massachusetts, and then left for McGill University where she completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then traveled and worked for two years before returning to New England and starting at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2000.
After completing an emergency and medicine internship at Angell Memorial Hospital in Boston, Amina and her husband lived and worked in the UK for several years, as well as back in the Boston area. In 2010, with 3 kids in tow, they moved up to Toronto to make their permanent home. Amina loves general practice and internal medicine, and especially getting to know both pets and clients well over time.
Amina has a full house with her husband, 3 active teenagers, 3 cats (Alfie, Starlord and Oz), Molly the small but mighty dog, and her newest rescue dog Mango. She enjoys yoga, swimming, travel & gardening (with mixed success), as well as exploring Toronto and Ontario.
